A RESEARCHER, DEVELOPER AND PRACTITIONER FOR ACTIVATE IS REQUIRED

Activate in the Classroom, which utilises hundreds of repeated movement patterns to music, is now used by over 300,000 children in almost 2,000 schools.

The person for this new position will be responsible for analysing the physical fluency development and some academic capability of individual clients and sometimes whole classes of children doing Activate. The individual Activation programmes are specifically designed movement patterns to music. Excellent communication skills are needed. The ability to gain trust and confidence and be able to motivate participants, mentors and teachers to complete the movement programmes is crucial. The keeping of precise records of the progress of participants and end of module assessments are also important.

It is also envisaged that the successful candidate would be able to construct and conduct various training courses explaining the physiological and cerebellar-vestibular benefits arising from the Activate Programmes. Having a detailed knowledge of or experience in repetitive movement therapy and the ability to construct and manage research studies would be advantageous. The position would probably be located in Northampton.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate would have a degree and research experience or post graduate qualification in one of the following areas:-
